Terms of service

Plain-English v1 — updated August 2026

These are the terms you agree to when you use Dragon Fleet. They're short because the deal is simple. A formally lawyer-reviewed version will replace this page as we grow; the substance below is the deal either way.

The service

Dragon Fleet is live vehicle tracking, trip history, alerts, and theft-recovery tooling for vehicles you own or are authorised to track. You supply and install the tracking hardware; we supply the software that makes it useful.

Billing — month to month, no contract

Every plan is billed monthly, per vehicle. There is no fixed term and no lock-in. Cancel any time from your account; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can export your data before, during, and after. We will never hold your history hostage to keep you subscribed.

Your responsibilities

  • Only track vehicles you own or have clear legal authority to track, and tell drivers they're being tracked where the law requires it.
  • Keep your account credentials to yourself, and choose who you invite carefully.
  • Don't use the service to stalk, harass, or surveil people. We'll close accounts that do.

What we don't promise

A tracker is an aid, not a guarantee. GPS coverage, cellular networks, and hardware can all fail, and theft-recovery features improve your odds — they don't insure the vehicle. Keep your insurance. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act that can't be limited.

Your data

Your telemetry is yours. How we handle it is covered by the privacy page— the short version: we don't sell it, you can export it, and you can have it deleted.

Changes and governing law

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we'll tell you by email before it takes effect. These terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
